EXPOSURE AND ASSOCIATED HEALTH RISK OF ENDOCRINE DISRUPTION COMPOUNDS

چکیده

Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDC) are an inevitable environmental pollutant due to their wide range of applications in the industrial sector. Deliberate or unkempt disposal materials containing EDCs has also significantly contributed its ecological exposure. Several natural and synthetic recognized which at low doses capable eliciting abnormal responses body, this is a threat life for both human animal health. Due hormone-like nature most EDCs, they have ability disrupt hormone signaling pathways leading alteration typical functioning endocrine system. These will eventually results dysfunctions key processes such as growth reproduction. Owing serious health issues attached EDC exposure ecosystem, continuous research ongoing excellent conclusions, proper documentation, formulation regulatory policies toward maintaining healthy ecosystem. The buildup disruptors organisms can be through food chain, may negatively impact ecosystems concentrations. This review discusses sources, possible mechanisms action summarizes adverse effects disruptors, well makes recommendations alleviate negative on animals health.

Impedance for Endocrine Disruption Compounds

An unintended consequence of our chemical innovations is the introduction of trace chemicals into our environment that are not necessarily directly toxic, but can impact nature. Mutations in animals/people can happen naturally, but perhaps in many cases human chemical ingenuity is to blame. Our motivations as chemists are honorable, and we have generated pesticides that help us to grow more foo...

Xenoestrogen exposure and mechanisms of endocrine disruption.

Environmental xenoestrogens can be divided into natural compounds (e.g. from plants or fungi), and synthetically derived agents including certain drugs, pesticides and industrial by-products. Dietary exposure comes mainly from plant-derived phytoestrogens, which are thought to have a number of beneficial actions. However, high levels of exogenous estrogens including several well-known synthetic...

Epigenetics, evolution, endocrine disruption, health, and disease.

Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in the environment have been linked to human health and disease. This is particularly evident in compounds that mimic the effects of estrogens. Exposure to EDCs early in life can increase risk levels of compromised physical and mental health. Epigenetic mechanisms have been implicated in this process. Transgenerational consequences of EDC exposure is also d...

Are Endocrine Disrupting Compounds a Health Risk in Drinking Water?

There has been a great deal of international discussion on the nature and relevance of endocrine disrupting compounds in the environment. Changes in reproductive organs of fish and mollusks have been demonstrated in rivers downstream of sewage discharges in Europe and in North America, which have been attributed to estrogenic compounds in the effluent. The anatomical and physiological changes i...
